Managing Director
Andrew Galt
Andrew Galt is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Galt & Maree Apothecary Co., a Trinidad & Tobago-born fragrance and lifestyle company established in 2016.
With a background in international business, e-commerce and brand development, Andrew leads the company’s marketing, sales, scent research and creative direction, helping transform a small artisan candle venture into a recognised Caribbean fragrance brand with a growing international presence.

Passionate about Caribbean-inspired perfumery and entrepreneurship, Andrew has played an integral role in developing Galt & Maree’s distinctive scent portfolio, brand identity and expansion into markets across the Caribbean and United States.
His approach combines business strategy with creative storytelling, using fragrance to capture the landscapes, culture and experiences of Trinidad & Tobago while positioning Caribbean-made products within the international luxury market.
Operations Director
Christiaan Maree
Christiaan Maree is the Co-Founder and Operations Director of Galt & Maree Apothecary Co., a Trinidad & Tobago-born fragrance and lifestyle company established in 2016.
With an academic background in chemistry and biology, Christiaan brings a scientific and methodical approach to the development, production and quality standards behind the brand’s growing portfolio of fragrance and personal care products.

As Operations Director, Christiaan plays an integral role in overseeing production, refining and standardising formulations, and maintaining the consistency and quality that define Galt & Maree. Since co-founding the company with Andrew Galt, he has helped transform their shared passion for fragrance into a recognised Caribbean brand, combining technical expertise with craftsmanship to create products that are developed and made in Trinidad & Tobago.

His work remains central to Galt & Maree’s commitment to quality, innovation and the continued development of distinctly Caribbean fragrance experiences.
Chairman
J. Nicholas Galt
J. Nicholas Galt is the Chairman of Galt & Maree Apothecary Co. and a distinguished Trinidad & Tobago entrepreneur, business leader and technology pioneer with more than four decades of experience in business development, corporate leadership and innovation.

He is the Founder and Chairman of the TSL Group, which he established in 1979 and developed from a local enterprise into a diversified information and communications technology group serving markets throughout the Caribbean.
An accomplished software developer and entrepreneur, Nicholas has also contributed his expertise through numerous regional and international business, philanthropic and developmental organisations.

In 2022, he was inducted into the Trinidad & Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce Business Hall of Fame in recognition of his longstanding contribution to entrepreneurship and the national and regional business landscape.

As Chairman of Galt & Maree, Nicholas brings decades of entrepreneurial experience, strategic guidance and corporate governance to the company, supporting its continued growth and development as a Caribbean-born fragrance and lifestyle brand with international ambitions.

Founded in Trinidad & Tobago in 2016 by Andrew Galt and Christiaan Maree, Galt & Maree is a Caribbean luxury fragrance and apothecary house built on a simple belief: scent has the power to transport us.

What began as a shared fascination with fragrance and a small collection of handcrafted soy candles has evolved into a distinctive world of scent, spanning fine fragrance, candles, home fragrance, soaps, lotions and body care. At the heart of every creation is a commitment to craftsmanship, quality and storytelling, with fragrances thoughtfully developed to evoke a place, a feeling or a memory.

Over the years, Galt & Maree has grown from a small local venture into a recognised Caribbean fragrance house, reaching customers locally, regionally and internationally.
Yet, as we continue to grow, the philosophy that shaped our earliest creations remains unchanged: quality before quantity, craftsmanship with purpose, and fragrance that means something.
For us, fragrance is more than something beautiful to wear or bring into a home. It is emotion. It is identity. It is nostalgia. It is the memory of somewhere you have been and the possibility of somewhere you have yet to discover.

At Galt & Maree we only use vegan, chemical free products in our Candles to make sure that each an every burn is clean, safe and beautiful.

We also encourage our clients to return their empty jars, so we can up-cycle them into new Candles :).
This Is Us
Galt & Maree Apothecary Co. was started in 2016 as both business partners (Andrew Galt & Christiaan Maree) shared joy in making the most intoxicating scents from exotic oils. Thus, creating a symphony of scent blended with premium soy wax which thwarted us to start making candles and a business that expressed our passion resulting with some of the most enduring scents that make up our initial offerings.
We pride ourselves in using the best Fragrance and Essential oils possible, before making any major decision we test each oil and rely on focus groups to ensure that our oils are well received by the public. Our Soy Wax and Scents are made with the most premium materials we could find. Our promise is that each candle, creates a memory.'
